Kite Surfing

Kalpitiya is Sri Lanka’s Kite Surfing paradise with the kitesurfing tribes from around the world falling in love with the area’s natural beauty, local life and vibe in general. The main season runs from May to September and the second season is active from December till about March. The water temperatures are a moderate 29 degrees and you really can enjoy the thrills without a wetsuit. During the season Kalpitiya can be quite busy. So you may also want to consider places like Kappalady, Mannar, Vella Island and even Arugam Bay on the East Coast.

Ziplining & High Rope

Ella is the hub for Zip lining and High Rope in Sri Lanka. The gorgeous natural scenery of the area only adds to the wow factor and this is a highly recommended experience should your Sri Lankan holiday take you to Ella. The area now also features a mega zip line with slide speeds of 80kmph.
